Chinese period drama following one man's quest for vengeance. Hungry for power, General Tu Angu (Xueqi Wang) plots to murder chancellor Zhao Dun (Guoan Bao) and his family. However, a baby of the Zhao clan, Wu (Han Wang/Wen Hao Zhao), survives, with his mother having placed him in the care of doctor Cheng Ying (You Ge).
In protecting the infant, Cheng's own son gets mistaken for Wu and is killed, along with his wife, by Tu. While bringing up the child as his own, Cheng waits for the opportune moment to avenge the murder of both his and Wu's family.
